We know we should have won that game. But that doesn't mean we look at it as a revenge game. It means we think we should have won; and now, let's correct it.

Have we become a cupcake league? We already have better helmets and gear. Wonder how the old school players feel about this. Not in the back of minds when talking about 18 game season so let's play football please... Even guys using shoulders to hit are getting flagged for helmet-to-helmet. Defense is getting sloppy because guys are avoiding fines and will get worse if suspending comes into play.

The kid did pretty well, ... but he seemed rattled toward the end.

He's one of the nicest coaches I've played for. He's a man that will go to battle and protect your back. He's one of those guys who always wants to know what the players think and wants to make sure we're OK. ... You don't hardly ever get a coach who wants to know how the players feel. Half of them don't care. They just want to win.

I live for games like this. You dream about playing in games like this, win-or-die-type games. Coach will have us ready. We just have to go do it.

I needed one more. I wished I could get one more. This was just a big day, the biggest of my career. It was a matter of going out and playing without fear. My teammates, being where they needed to be, stepped up a whole lot, too. This was just a big game. We needed it.

I love hearing all the know-it-alls say that we couldn't do it. Some of those guys might need to be fired.

I'm not really worried about this because I know we'll respond next game and step up. We knew they were going to make some plays, but the little things we did to hurt ourselves, we've got to eliminate those and we'll be fine.

They've had our number the last few years. They kept saying the first game was a fluke. Now you know. It wasn't a fluke.

They weren't max-protecting like they did the first game. Everyone was just so focused. I've never had a four-sack game in my life. Not high school, college, pickup, whatever.
